Heather was easy to work with - crafting the prefect sign for my home. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with the end result. The quality is impeccable and the colors perfect.
A little about Heather & her shop:
Heather - the shop owner/designer lives in Roanoke, VA with her husband and 3 children. After having worked as an R.N. for 12 years – 10 in Neonatal ICU, before deciding to take some time off in April 2011 – she was looking to get into something and had always wanted to own her own business. Knowing that the key was to get into something that you love, she realized that crafting was something she always loved to do. The idea and name “WORDs by HeART deSIGNS” came to her - born from her own home decor, which was filled with photos of family, art that her children had made, signs with personal meaning. From there, she has fallen in love with with designing and making signs – home decor that has meaning, personality, and makes a home yours. Heather loves that she gets to be creative, creating signs for words that you see each day to inspire you or tell the world what matters to you. She enjoys making signs that are personal or unique and that people get excited about displaying. Signs about life, family, and love and things that matter. Her hope is that her signs, with their quality and meaning, will one day be heirlooms. Heather has never imagined how many hours would go into perfecting her work. Her shop opened on Etsy in Oct. 2011 and has taken off since. She gets excited when she puts someone's sign in the mail, sincerely hoping that receiving it makes their day.
I can tell, from the quality of sign that I received, that Heather is committed to her business and loves what she does. It shines through in her work.
