You know this mamma loves her Starbucks – so you might wonder why I’m giving up a $25 Starbucks Gift Card. Here’s the story, I’ve really been trying to stay committed to being more healthy and getting some weight off. Lattes do not help, friends. Yes, I usually order a skinny vanilla latte, but I think I just need to cut back on coffee in general and add in more water rather than those extra calories. I love Starbucks!!! :-D My best tip is to drink lots & lots of water. I splurged on a pricey water bottle and it pays off....I refill it all day long (plus I save on bottled water). Frugal yet healthy, too!

I really am trying to drink more water. If water alone isn't what you like add lemon or lime or water down some lemonade. It has helped me with not eating quite as much and it has hydrated my skin.

i follow you on gfc and i think cutting processed foods out of your diet in addition to drinking water is key! i've been following the beachbody 8wk transition diet(today is start of week 4) and without being too crazy have lost 4 lbs. drinking water really helps me stay in control of my cravings. good luck!

ReplyDeleteMy tip would be to take small handfuls of nuts between meals instead of eating fattening snacks that can pack on weight this may help you lose weight if you stick to 3 balanced meals a day and the nuts between meals

ReplyDeleteMy best tip on losing weight is whenever i get the urge to eat between meals is to grab a stick of extra gum...flavor lasts forever and it keeps my mouth busy...also very cold ice water helps to shrink stomach because your ab muscles work harder when the water is extremely cold...as for coffee cravings i find the coffee flavored hard candy works pretty well...tastes just like coffee without the calories :)

Exercise helps, park as far away as possible, take the stairs, walk the dog, or play with the kids. Make sure you eat breakfast too.

I am a gfc follower. If you are really hungry for a treat, have a small piece of it. If I don't, I find I will eat other things instead. This way I am happy, and can stay on my diet.

ReplyDeleteIt is simple, no matter what, you need to burn more calories than what you eat minus your daily intake.
ReplyDeleteDrink lots of water before you drink anything else. You might also google master cleanse to get you started.

ReplyDeleteOne healthy-living tip I use is to clean with vinegar instead of chemicals. That way I'm not breathing in or touching anything caustic...and I don't have to worry about my baby opening the wrong cabinet and drinking from the scary bottle! :-)

ReplyDeleteTip: Drink lots of water! I normally drink a whole glass of water before any meal, also if I think I'm hungry I will drink a glass of water and give it a few minutes, if I'm still hungry I will eat something, but sometimes the water (or unsweet tea) does it for me!

If you drink 16 oz. water 15-30 minutes before each meal, you will consume less calories. This fills you up faster and makes you feel fuller. You are also replacing drinks like coffee, soda and juice, so you are replacing those calorie filled drinks with water! Great way to lose weight!

ReplyDeleteI'm a google friend connect follower. My healthy tip is to "get vertical". About once every hour or so, just stand up and move around. I turn on the music and dance for about 5 minutes. It gets the heart pumping, clears the mind and, I believe, gets our metabolism burning better. If one is at work, it can be just standing up and walking around for a few minutes, etc.
