I love coffee - and to me, nothing is better than my coffeehouse favorites.  Lately though, my love of these pricey drinks is just not ideal for the budget or for my one-year old. He doesn't tolerate the lines, the waiting and the in and out of the car in the winter is torture.  Add that with the fact that I must have coffee each morning BUT cannot seem to make a good cup at home - and you see it almost forces me to make the trip out.   That's why I was so excited to be given the opportunity to review the TASSIMO Bosch T20 Home Brewing System!

The TASSIMO Bosch T20 is able to brew amazing drinks at the touch of one button - in my kitchen! I love that this brewer does not just make regular coffee like some other single cup coffee makers. Besides regular coffee, you can brew cappuccinos, lattes, espresso, tea and hot chocolate. I was super excited to see that Tassimo offers over 40 varieties, from brands like Starbucks®, Seattle’s Best Coffee®, Twining’s® and Maxwell House. I can have the variety of a coffeehouse without the hassle of dragging the baby out and the daily coffeehouse prices.With the TASSIMO, my coffee is ready and in my hands in 60 seconds.

I received a  TASSIMO Bosch T20 Home Brewer to try. Along with it, I received Starbucks Cappuccino Primo T DISCs and Gevalia Signature Blend T DISCs  (Note: Once you purchase your brewer system, you can register it online. By doing so, you can receive 2 Complimentary Packages of T DISCs!)

Honestly, my brewer arrived and I had it out of the box, on the counter, ready to try within the hour. I could not wait to try it. Using the brewer for the first time was easy. There were clear, step by step instructions on how to do a cleaning using water and the "Service T DISC"  (stored at the back of the machine.) The controls and interface are really straightforward and simple to use! 

The TASSIMO T20 brews in three different sizes. By adjusting the height of the cup stand, different size cups and glasses can be used. You can also remove the cup stand completely for a very large cup (like the one I will need to use after a sleepless night of teething!)  You can then choose the size you want to brew - 3 oz (Espresso), 11 oz or 16 oz. 

To fill the water tank, use cool, fresh water each day for best results (tap water okay). If I am the only one having a cup of coffee that morning, I use only enough water for that cup. I put a little more in if I know I'm having guests that day. Once your water is filled, the TASSIMO is ready when the standby light is on.  

After selecting a T DISC, lift the front of the unit up and insert the T DISC into the holder with the printed side down. The tab of the T DISC will be secured in a slot, so you'll know it's in right. Once you close the unit, the amazing technology actually reads the barcode on the disc! It's like a barista knowing what you've ordered!  Gotta love it!  You do still have the option of  customizing your cup for a stronger or milder taste.

I have to say, this home brewer system makes it impossible to make a bad cup of coffee. I'm absolutely loving the Starbucks Primo Capuccino (and my husband is loving my less frequent trips to the coffeehouse and the money we are saving!)  It's the best alternative I've ever found to my picky taste in coffee.  My husband is a straight coffee kind of guy who rarely notices difference in brew or coffee flavor.  He raved about the Gevalia Signature Roast - so you know it must be good for him to notice.  He also loved how fast he was able to make and take a cup with him in the morning. Before, if he was running late, he'd have to stop on the way to work or do without. With the TASSIMO, time is never an issue. It's fast, easy, and tastes great. Finally, it fits great in the kitchen. We don't have a ton of counter space and the sleek design fits nicely into the corner of my counter. Along with the brewer, I also received the Color Accessory Kit in RED.  What a  perfect way to dress up my new brewer for the holidays!
